Something that I like to do this time of the year is buying school supplies. I take a list from a local shelter and get a boy themed and girl themed backpacks and fill them up. I also get extra for donation bins. For myself, I buy composition books. I do not remember using them in school, maybe in the first or second grades? I use the books as my journals. I had fun going to Kroger, Walmart, Target, and Office Max to compare prices. A few months ago, composition books were $1.50. Now they are 50 cents. This reminds me of the time when I worked in retail: we would get special deals to feature products at low prices during certain times of the year.
